Edge[German]Microsoft issued a security advisory on June 24, 2020, which indicates the new security update for the Chromium Edge Browser to version 83.0.478.56.

But currently nothing can be retrieved under ADV200002 (at least not while writing this blog post, an undefined one appears). But the GErman colleagues from deskmodder.de and it-blogger.net have given some hints in their posts.

According to it-blogger.net, Microsoft has closed two vulnerabilities in Microsoft Edge that are rated as high. In the blog post Chrome 83.0.4103.116 with security fixes released I mentioned the Use after free vulnerability CVE-2020-6509 in extensions (see also the Chromium page here). 

The update to version 83.0.478.56 is based on version 83.0.4103.116 of Chromium and can be downloaded from Microsoft now. At it-blogger.net you can find the direct download links.
