[German]A brief observation of a blog reader about the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (Version 2004). A Shudown, i.e. a shutdown doesn't work because the machine finds itself back on the login screen at the end of the process.

The somewhat strange experience with the shutdown was made by blog reader Karl with Windows 10 May 2020 Update (Version 2004) and shared with me on Twitter. Here are two of his tweets.
another workaround
Restart into WinRE > Options > Shutdown.— al Qamar (Karl Wester-Ebbinghaus) Ⓥ (@tweet_alqamar) July 5, 2020
Selecting Shutdown from the Start menu to turn off the machine ends with a reboot and the Windows login page on this test system. Karl has observed this behavior in rare cases with Windows 10 version 190x.
In contrast, the PowerShell command Stop-Computer works as expected. Booting into the Windows PE environment also allows the system to be shut down cleanly via the Shutdown Tile. In general Karl has found the following workarounds:
shutdown -sg
stop-computer
restart to WinRE > Turn off

Anyone else who has this observation that Windows 10 version 2004 does not shut down and reboot? If so, is there a known cause?

I've had exactly the same issue on the old model but brand new condition Dell Latitude E5220. It was resolved after I upgraded BIOS to the latest version
released in 2014.
