Chrome 88.0.4324.96 fixes 36 vulnerabilities

[German]Google's developers have updated the Chrome browser to version 88.0.4324.96 in the desktop version for Linux, macOS and Windows as of January 19, 2020. This security update fixes 36 vulnerabilities in the older browser versions.

The info came to my attention on various websites Version 88 of the browser is a new development branch. Google developers published this article on the Chrome 88 beta in December 2020. Starting with this version, FTP support will be removed from the browser. Flash will also no longer be supported. Also the article here at HowToGeek contains an outline to the various changes. One of these vulnerabilities is classified as critical, and some of the vulnerabilities are classified as High. Other issues have been tracked down and fixed internally through audits and fuzzing. So, the browser should be updated quickly. The Chrome version for Windows, Mac and Linux will be rolled out to systems via the automatic update function in the next few days.
