[German]Microsoft has released the update to Edge 88.0.705.50 on January 21, 2021. It is a new version with some changes (FTP and Flash are omitted), numerous innovations but also various security fixes. Here is some information about it.

Google has yes updated the Chrome browser to version 88.0.4324.96 on January 19, 2021 for Linux, macOS and Windows. In the process, 36 vulnerabilities, one of them critical, were also fixed (see Chrome 88.0.4324.96 fixes 36 vulnerabilities). Now Microsoft is following with Edge 88.0.705.50.
From January 21, 2021, Microsoft ends to add the fixed security issiues at Security Advisory ADV200002. Microsoft plans to publish security fix information directly in theSecurity Update Guide for industry partners. The browser should update itself automatically. In the release notes, Microsoft states which features has been removed (FTP, Adobe Flash) als deprecated and what has been added to Edge 88.
