The repairable notebook from Framework

A notebook that can be repaired by the user when faults occur and doesn't have to be thrown away or sent to support and replaced at horrendous cost? The American startup Framework has set itself the goal of ending the throwaway mentality in this area.

I came across the project via the following social media post, which describes the project by Nirav Patel, founder of the startup Framework. This device allows users to replace or upgrade each component themselves.

Framework showed how to open the device and replace the components in this post at the beginning of June 2021. The Do it yourself (DIY) edition is available for US $749, the Framework Editor for US $999.
