Ukraine doxing five members of the Gamaredon APT

Sicherheit (Pexels, allgemeine Nutzung)[Germab]The Ukrainian Security Service (SSU) has been able to uncover the true identities of five members of the Gamaredon cyber espionage group. The five men operate out of the Crimean branch of Russia's Federal Intelligence Service (FSB) from Sevastopol in Crimea.

According to officials, the group-which the SSU refers to internally as Armageddon-operated from Sevastopol in Crimea. However, the group was acting on instructions from the FSB's Center for Information Security (also known as "Center 18") based in Moscow. Center 18 is a known hub for FSB cyber operations. The five Gamaredon APT members were identified by name by the SSU with their position.
