Firefox 102.0.1 released

Mozilla[German]Mozilla developers have released versions 102.0.1 of the Firefox browser on July 6, 2022. This is a maintenance update that is supposed to fix bugs.

According to the release notes, the July 6, 2022 update brings the following fixes to Firefox 102.0.1:

  • Bookmark shortcut creation by dragging to Windows File Explorer and dropping was partially broken (bug 1774683)
  • Fixed: Bookmark sidebar flashes white when opened in dark mode (bug 1776157)
  • Multilingual spell checker did not work with content in English and a non-Latin alphabet (bug 1773802)
  • Developer tools: Fixed an issue where the console output would always scroll down if the last visible message was a rating result (bug 1776262)
  • The Clear cookies and website data when Firefox is closed checkbox was disabled on startup (bug 1777419)

There are also some unspecified stability improvements included in the latest version of Firefox. Firefox should update itself automatically, but can be downloaded from this website for various platforms (choose the variant from the list boxes that appear).
