[German]Twitter have had technical issues at 00:00 UTC on Dec. 29, 2022. The Twitter service hasn't running smoothly. When displaying various tweets, everything was still fine an hour before midnight. But currently (December 29, 2022, 00:50 a.m. UTC) I can no longer access some tweets. Messages are only displayed very slowly or I get an error message and see the information that I should log in again if necessary.

A search on Twitter for the terms "twitter issues" then revealed the following tweet, in which another user also asks if there are problems with the messaging service. He can no longer log in to Twitter and gets the "spinning top" displayed (it's the same for me).
The screenshot above also only shows the entries #Discover and Settings in the left column – which indicates problems. In the meantime, there are a number of tweets with similar error messages. The following tweet shows the glitch message displayed to some users. For me, however, refreshing the page in the browser as suggested did nothing.
But the technicians are surely already in the process of fixing it – the following photo was leaked to me, someone is trying to figure out which cable is at fault.

In the following diagram, Downdetector shows a steep rise in the number of outage reports, but this has since subsided.
Here, at 02:09, the situation also seems to calm down again – the "broken cable" has been found. Addendum: Techchrunch has published this article about this outage.
