Firefox 111.0 and 102.9.0 esr released

Mozilla[German]The Mozilla developers have released the versions 111.0 and 102.9.0 ESR of the Firefox browser on March 14, 2023. The ESR versions are maintenance updates that are supposed to fix bugs. Firefox 111 is a new development branch. In both updates, vulnerabilities are fixed. Thanks to the reader for the tip.

Firefox 111 is a new development branch that brings the following new features, according to the Release Notes.

  • Windows notifications are now enabled.
  • Firefox relay users can now opt-in to create relay email masks directly from the Firefox login manager. You must be logged in with your Firefox account.
  • We have added two new locales: Silhe Friulian (fur) and Sardinian (sc).

Firefox 102.9.0 ESR

Versions 102.9.0 with long-term support (ESR) has also been released and fixes security vulnerabilities. Firefox should update itself automatically in all versions, but can be downloaded from this website for various platforms (the variant is to be selected via the displayed list boxes).
