[German]Anyone in the readership having issues with RDP connections to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) these days? It looks like a particular version of SxSStackListener is causing the problem. A user wrote a PowerShell script to determine the problematic version.

Azure Virtual Desktop is a Microsoft Azure-based system for virtualizing Windows operating systems. It provides virtualized desktops and applications in the cloud.
I just came across the above tweet from Stefan Beckmann. Some customers of his were experiencing RDP connection issues with Azure Virtual Desktop. According to this article, the session host was showing as available and sessions were said to be happening. However, users could no longer connect to the AVD instances.
So the sessions were initially available, users could log in, Stefan writes. After some time the connections were disconnected, but the sessions were still available. Logging out users like connecting via RDP was not possible. Problem was that the customer had session hosts in different regions.
When the problem was investigated at a customer together with Microsoft support, it turned out that the version of the SxSStackListener was faulty. Microsoft now wants to reset the version rdp-sxs230307400 in the background. But there is a problem with this, because the version of the SxSStackListener is not displayed in any place.

Stefan has therefore created a PowerShell script that can be used to check the version on the session hosts across all host pools. A list is created which can be further processed and filtered as desired. The PS script can be found on this web page – maybe it helps.
