I am still having the issue documented here with the 2023-11 patch for Win10:
https://borncity.eu/win/2023/10/15/windows-10-update-kb5031356-fails-with-error-0x8007000d/
Do not want to have to do a repair install of Windows if I can avoid it. Has anybody else had this issue? Should I uninstall the rollback they released for the 2023-10 patch? Or should I just sit tight for now? In any case thank you for documenting these issues, finding information about them is usually an exercise in futility.
Try to check my comment below, mention the old LAPS client. Overall I got also reports, that the Dec. 2023 update fails also with Error 0x8007000d. I'm just writing a new article to sum it up.
This same problem has been now in multiple server 2022 (All Dell Rok images) and it seems to continue even in cumulative 2023-12 update. Many times these kind problems seems to be solved in next cumulative, so i was not so worryed, but not this time. Has been trying sfc / dism / windows update reset etc. Trying inplace upgrade is next option, but it is really not a good choice.
Just one idea: I suggested in Nov. 2023 an affected user to inspect the CBS.log file. He came back, that the old LAPS client was the culprit. He uninstalled the old LAPS client and the update went through the installation. But it was with Windows 10.
