[German]Microsoft has released the preview update KB5043145 for Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 last week. However, this update causes serious issues for some users, who are facing restarts, BlueScreens, GreenScreens and Bitlocker queries. Microsoft has since withdrawn this update due to the numerous problems.

Preview Update KB5043145
The optional, cumulative (preview) update KB5043145 was released on September 26, 2024 for Windows 11 version 22H2 and 23H2. I had reported in the blog post Windows 11 23H2/22H2: Preview Update KB5043145 (September 26, 2024).
This optional update contains some new features that will be rolled out gradually, but also ships some bug fixes. The fixes and new features will then be rolled out generally with the security update in October 2024. For Windows 11 22H2, only the Education and Enterprise versions will receive the update.
Update KB5043145 causes problems
Readers have already reported issues in the German comments to my German blog post Windows 11 23H2/22H2: Preview Update KB5043145 (26. September 2024). One user ended up with Windows 11 no longer booting, writing that the system was stuck at the loading screen (mainboard code AA, i.e. passed to operating system, which then does not boot). After switching the PC off and on twice, the update was automatically reset. Windows 11 then started normally again. But the next update installation attempt ended with the same problem. Another user confirms the problem.
In the meantime, Microsoft has added an entry to the section on known problems with update KB5043145. Redmond writes that some users are complaining about problems after installing the update. For some users, the system restarts several times or no longer responds.
Others affected receive BlueScreens or GreenScreens during operation. There are also reports that on some systems the automatic repair tool starts automatically after repeated restart attempts. In some cases, the BitLocker recovery can also be triggered so that the relevant recovery key is requested.

Microsoft is currently investigating this problem. They will get back to us with further information as soon as it is clear how this can be corrected. According to my information, the update is no longer available.

On some systems this update may cause a blue screen of death.
Uninstalling Updates > Run CMD command prompt as Administrator and enter > wusa /uninstall /kb:5043145 , and after uninstalling the update, restart the computer.
AFAIK Microsoft has rolled out a KIR fix
