[German]Other minor problems that Microsoft has acknowledged for Windows 11 24H2. On systems on which certain Ubisoft games are installed, there is a show stopper for upgrading to this Windows version. Below is an overview of what's going on. I will deal with a problem with scanners in a separate article.

Windows 11 24H2 issues
Windows 11 24H2 was made available to interested users as a feature update on October 1, 2024 (see Windows 11 24H released (Oktober 1, 2024)). However, this release is currently annoying users with numerous bugs, some of which were already known at the time of release. The links at the end of the post refer to articles here in the blog that describe the individual bugs.
Upgrade blocker for Ubisoft games
Microsoft states on the Windows 11 24H2 Health Status page that it is experiencing massive problems with various Ubisoft games (Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora). Since November 22, 2024, the support article Some Ubisoft games might stop responding on Windows 11, version 24H2 devices.
After installing Windows 11 version 24H2, the aforementioned Ubisoft games may cause issues and may become unresponsive when starting, loading or during active gameplay. In some cases, users may also experience a black screen. Microsoft writes that you should use the Task Manager to end the hanging games.
Ubisoft has released a temporary workaround for Star Wars Outlaws to prevent the game from crashing and becoming unresponsive. Performance issues may still occur.
Microsoft has imposed a compatibility lock on Windows devices with these games installed. These devices will not be offered the installation of Windows 11 version 24H2 via Windows Update. Users should also refrain from installing Windows 11 24H2 manually.

IT administrators using Windows Update for Business reports can check these issues with the protection IDs 54437462 and 54580160. Ubisoft and Microsoft are working on a solution and will provide more information as it becomes available. Anyone affected by this?
