Browser Choice Allianz: Vorwürfe gegen Microsoft

The Browser Choice Alliance (BCA) accuses Microsoft of actively restricting users' choices to use alternative web browsers in Windows and hindering consumers' ability to choose browsers. Users are actively being steered towards the Edge browser by Microsoft despite the many alternatives available today.

The group has filed a formal petition with the European Commission to designate Microsoft Edge as a "gatekeeper" service under the Digital Markets Act, which would force Microsoft to offer more browser options for Windows users.
