[German]Microsoft updated information on two known bugs in Windows 11 24H2 in February 2025. Firstly, the support article that addresses the issue of Dirac Audio losing audio output when using cridspapo.dll was updated. And the bug that the use of Auto HDR can cause games to become unresponsive or display incorrect colors is said to have been fixed.

Microsoft had acknowledged two further serious problems with Windows 11 version 24H2 on December 18, 2024 and stopped the rollout on affected machines. At that time, it was about systems that cause problems with Dirac audio output. And it was about the problem of players getting incorrect colors displayed or games no longer responding when using Auto HDR mode. I addressed these issues in the blog post Windows 11 24H2: Auto HDR and Dirac Audio issues.
Auto HDR affects games and colors
After installing Windows 11, version 24H2, gamers noticed that Auto HDR mode hangs games or displays colors incorrectly. Auto HDR is a Windows feature that enhances games by automatically converting Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content to High Dynamic Range (HDR) content.
On February 11, 2025, Microsoft updated the support article Auto HDR might cause games to stop responding or display incorrect colors in the Known Issues of the Windows 11 24H2 Release Health Dashboard and reported the status "Fixed".
The issue in Windows 11 24H2 described above was fixed with the Windows update (KB5051987) dated February 11, 2025. Microsoft recommends installing this or subsequent updates to resolve the problem. The upgrade block (ID 55382406) that previously applied to this problem will be lifted in the coming days..
Dirac Audio problems with cridspapo.dll
In the post Some devices that have Dirac Audio with cridspapo.dll might lose audio output, Microsoft stated at the time that some users reported that their device's built-in speakers, Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth headsets stopped working after installing Windows 11, version 24H2.

In addition, applications no longer recognized these audio devices. This problem probably relates to devices with Dirac Audio. Dirac Audio is a digital sound enhancement technology that improves the clarity and precision of audio. Specifically, the problem is probably caused by the cridspapo.dll file, which is not compatible with Windows 11 24H2. The cridspapo.dll file is part of the audio processing software of these devices.
Due to this audio issue, a compatibility block for upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 has been imposed on a limited number of devices containing Dirac Audio with cridspapo.dll. These devices will not be offered for installation of Windows 11, version 24H2 via the Windows Update channel until this issue is resolved.
Microsoft has also updated the support entry Some devices that have Dirac Audio with cridspapo.dll might lose audio output in the Known Issues of the Windows 11 24H2 Release Health dashboard as of February 10, 2025. However, when reading through it, I didn't notice anything that had changed or that the driver had been updated.
