[German]Regular support for Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSC, the IoT version, and Windows Server 2016 will end in October 2026 and early 2027. Microsoft has now announced Extended Security Updates (ESU) programs for these Windows versions. The Windows versions can receive three years of paid ESU.
In Jahr 2016 three versions of Windows have been released that will no longer receive regular support in the coming months, meaning they will no longer receive security updates. These are the following products:
- Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016: October 13, 2026
- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB: October 13, 2026
- Windows Server 2016: January 12, 2027
Microsoft has now published a Tech Community post entitled "Plan for Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 2016 LTSB end of support " dated February 20, 2026. Microsoft once again points out that support for these products is coming to an end. At the same time, it announces an Extended Security Update (ESU) program for the products in question.
Companies that need additional time to migrate to newer versions of Windows can use the Extended Security Update (ESU) program to secure the above-mentioned Windows versions.
