Microsoft's Japan Ask Core team has been (deleted). Blog reader Markus pointed me to the post, thank you for that. Microsoft is planning a fix for January 2019.
Update KB4457127 is causing the issue
The issue occurs in the following versions of Windows, for example, if the KB4457127 update of September 21, 2018, was installed. Affected Windows versions:
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows 10 Version 1607
- Windows 10 Version 1709
Then there are the following issues with the execution of tasks.
- Even if you import and then activate the previously exported task (XML), it does not run at the scheduled time.
- Shutting down and restarting the system with the invalid task is not performed at the scheduled time, even if it is enabled afterwards.
Microsoft indicates that this issue can be avoided after activating the task by performing the validation procedure again. Therefore, the task is not executed once with activation, but afterwards it is confirmed by reactivation that the task is executed. Details can be found in (deleted) by the Ask Core team.
