Patchday Microsoft Office Updates (April 9, 2019)

[German]As of April 9, 2019 (second Tuesday of the month, Patchday at Microsoft), Microsoft has released several security updates for supported Microsoft Office versions and other products.

General Information

The updates refer to the installable MSI version of Office (the click-to-run packages refer the updates to other channels). An overview of the updates can be found on this website. Details are documented in the linked KB articles. Office 2019 does not appear in the list because it is distributed through click-to-run packages and receives security updates through the Office Update feature. 

Office 2016

The following security updates have been released for Office 2016.

Office 2013

For Office 2013, Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 must be installed. The following security updates have been released.

  • Excel 2013 (KB4462209): Closes vulnerabilities and includes enhancements.
  • Office 2013 (KB464504): Fixes a remote code execution vulnerability when Microsoft Office does not process certain files correctly (CVE-2019-0801).
  • Office 2013 (KB4462204): Fixes a remote code execution vulnerability when the Microsoft Office Connectivity module for Access does not process objects in memory correctly. CVE-2019-0824, CVE-2019-0826, CVE-2019-0827

Office 2010

To install these updates, you must have Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 2 installed.
