A list of the updates can be found on this Microsoft website. I have extracted the details below. The update installation requires an existing current Servicing Stack Updates (SSUs). Meanwhile, Microsoft publishes an overview of current Servicing Stack Updates (SSUs) under ADV990001 (if it is not up to date, have the Microsoft Update Catalog search for Servicing Stack Updates).

Important: From July 2020 all Windows updates disable the RemoteFX vGPU feature due to the CVE-2020-1036 vulnerability (see also KB4570006). After installing this update, attempts to start virtual machines (VM) with RemoteFX vGPU enabled will fail. More information can be found here.

  • Updates to improve security when using Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Legacy.

The following fixes and improvements are added

  • Addresses an issue in certain apps that use the ImeMode property to control Input Method Editor (IME) mode in Windows 10, version 2004 (the May 2020 Update). For example, this issue prevents input mode from automatically switching to Kanji or Hiragana. For more information, see KB4564002 and the blog post, Getting the May 2020 Update Ready for Release – UPDATED.

This update is automatically downloaded and installed by Windows Update. This update is also available in the icrosoft Update Catalog nd via WSUS. Microsoft strongly recommends that you install the latest service stack update (SSU) KB4566785  for your operating system before you install the latest cumulative update (LCU).

It is especially important to install SSU KB4566785  because it does not just perform quality improvements to the service stack. This update also fixes an elevation of privilege vulnerability CVE-2020-1346  in the Windows Modules Installer.

For this update, Microsoft states that when you use some applications, such as Microsoft Excel, users of the Microsoft Input Method Editor (IME) for Chinese and Japanese may receive an error, or the application may stop responding or close when they try to drag the mouse.

Microsoft has also released an update directly for the Windows Update Client to improve its reliability. This is rolled out outside of Windows Update if the machine is compatible and not an LTSC variant and updates have not been blocked by GPO.

Microsoft has known about the SSD trim scheduling problem for 6 months but has not even yet deigned to fix it. Additional features come first and reliability a distant second in the Nadella era. New features are irrelevant to most users. They need and want RELIABILITY but Microsoft seems gripped by some psychosis compelling it to neglect reliability in favour of its features fetish.

a few days late on this but installing the KB4565503 update for v2004 seemed to have removed apps like Notepad, Wordpad & classic MS Paint for some users as noted here:
