Samsung folding smartphone – risk of losing the warranty after throw it to your bed?

[German]Throwing a smartphone onto a bed or a couch isn't normally a problem, nothing bad can actually happen. However, you should not do that if you own a Samsung foldable smartphone (Z Flip 3), since you might lose the warranty in case of damage. The background is that Samsung not only installs a humidity indicator, but also records sudden movement of the device via a sensor.

The information can be found in the following tweet  from user @FrontTron, who comes out with the details. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 records all movements that suggest a drop of more than 1 meter.

If damage occurs later within the warranty, Samsung customer service will refuse the repair, even if the device looks visually undamaged. (Via)
