Edge 102.0.1245.41 (Stable) is a maintenance update that fixes several vulnerabilities, according to an email from Microsoft (the release notes are not yet updated as of 6/14/2022, 10:21 AM). According to a circular email sent today, June 14, Microsoft informed about the following vulnerabilities in the Chromium and Edge browsers.

  • CVE-2022-2007
  • CVE-2022-2008
  • CVE-2022-2010
  • CVE-2022-2011

Google has closed these vulnerabilities in the Chromium browser on June 9, 2022 (see Chrome 102.0.5005.115 fixes 7 vulnerabilities and this Microsoft page with the June 2022 release notes). Some of the 7 vulnerabilities fixed are rated High. Details about fixes and the vulnerability have not been published by Microsoft as far as I know. The browser shall be updated automatically, but may be downloaded from here or from the enterprise page.

Problem with PDF printing fixed

Since Edge version 102.0.1245.30 there is a bug with PDF printing. A blog reader had contacted me shortly after the release of this Edge version and wrote:

We have the problem on clients with version 102 that when printing PDFs the error message "Error printing Check the printer and try again. Error while printing" appears. After downgrading to the latest 101 version, Print to PDF works again. Are there others who are having this problem as well?

I had first picked this up in the blog post Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 has issues with PDF printing and mentioned further confirmations. However, not all Edge users were affected – I don't know the details. I had made a post on the topic in the English-language Microsoft Answers forum and escalated it as well, since there was no feedback but 3 pages of discussion in the meantime. Now several German users are posting in comments that Microsoft seems to be working on a fix of this PDF issue. The latest message from Sam B. says (translated):

Now the problem is gaining momentum, just tested the latest stable version 102.0.1245.41 and with that the PDF printing problems seem to be solved too! We still have to verify this seriously, but it looks not bad…

Thanks to Sam B. and to the blog readers who are concerned, the question: Can it be confirmed that with the new Edge 102.0.1245.41 (Stable) the PDF printing problem is fixed?
