[German]On February 13, 2024 (second Tuesday of the month, patch day at Microsoft), Microsoft also released cumulative updates for Windows 11 23H2 to 21H2. Windows Server 2022 also received an update. Here are some details about these updates, which are intended to fix vulnerabilities and problems.

Updates for Windows 11 23H2 – 21H2
A list of Windows 11 updates can be found on this Microsoft website. I have extracted the details below. Microsoft is now providing the following updates for the Windows 11 versions mentioned above.
Update KB5034765 for Windows 11 23H2-22H2
Cumulative update KB5034765 raises the OS build for Windows 11 to 226×1.3155 and includes quality improvements and security patches. Microsoft states the following highlights in the support article:
- New! The Copilot in Windows icon now appears on the right side of the system tray on the taskbar. Also, the display of Show desktop at the rightmost corner of the taskbar will be off by default. To turn it back on, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar. You can alsoright-click the taskbar and choose Taskbar settings.
- Note Windows 11 devices will get this new functionality at different times. Some of these new features roll out gradually using controlled feature rollout (CFR) to consumers.
- This update addresses security issues for your Windows operating system.
The following fixes are also listed.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Narrator announcements. They are slow when you use Natural Voices.
- This update addresses an issue that affects explorer.exe. It might stop responding. This occurs when you restart or shut down a PC that has a controller accessory attached to it.
- This update addresses an issue that affects the download of device metadata. Downloads from the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS) over HTTPS are now more secure.
This update is automatically downloaded and installed by Windows Update, but is also available in the Microsoft Update Catalog and via WSUS and WUfB. The Windows 11 Servicing Stack Update is integrated in the patch. Problems caused by the update are listed in the support article.
NAfter February 27, 2024, there will no longer be any optional, non-security-related pre-releases for Windows 11, version 22H2. Only cumulative monthly security updates will continue for supported editions of Windows 11, version 22H2.
Update KB5034766 for Windows 11 21H2
Cumulative update KB5034766 raises the OS build for Windows 11 to 22000.2777 and includes quality improvements and security patches, but no new operating system functions. It should be noted that support for the Home and Pro editions expired in October 2023 and only the Enterprise versions will be supplied with patches.
Microsoft would like to point out that this update makes quality improvements to the Servicing Stack (which is responsible for Microsoft updates). This update is automatically downloaded and installed by Windows Update, but is also available in the Microsoft Update Catalog and via WSUS and WUfB. Windows Server 2022
According to this Microsoft page, the cumulative update KB5034770 has been released for Windows Server 2022, which raises the OS build to 20348.232. The fixes can be found in the support article. Microsoft would like to point out that this update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack (which is responsible for Microsoft updates). This update is automatically downloaded and installed by Windows Update, but is also available in the Microsoft Update Catalog and via WSUS and WUfB. Information on known problems with the update can be found in the support article – Microsoft currently states that no problems are known.
