[German]An administrator contacted me because he ran into a serious issue in the new Teams 2.0 client. It is simply no longer possible to create new teams. The error message is not very informative, and individual forum entries are not very helpful (apart from the confirmation that the error also occurs there). The question is whether more administrators from the blog readership are affected, whether there is information on the cause and whether a solution is possibly known.

Teams cannot be created
The blog reader is using the new Teams 2.0 client (build 24152.412.2958.9166) from Microsoft. So far so bad – when trying to create a new team, this is denied with the meaningless error message "We couldn't complete that action".
The German blog reader then found an entry Im neuen MS Teams kann ich kein Team mehr erstellen in the German-language Microsoft Teams forum, where someone described a similar observation on June 26, 2024. In the specific case, the person concerned wanted to use Co-Pilot Studio in the new MS Teams. A test team was to be created for this. Here, too, the abort is reported with the error message "Action could not be completed". However, the same process can be carried out in the old MS Teams 1.x client. There are no guidelines that the user is not allowed to create new teams in this case. Another user has posted in this thread who shares this observation.

I browsed through both threads, there doesn't seem to be a solution – but there are other users who confirm the problem. And the blog reader sent me the following information, which mentions problems in teams.

Attempts such as deleting user data do not always seem to work. I have come across the following workarounds in the linked threads:
- Create the new team in the old Microsoft Teams 1.x client
- Create the new team in the iOS app
- Create the new team in SharePoint
The problem is said to have existed since 05.06.2024, the reader wrote. However, he first noticed it in his company on 21.06. The above messages are from June 24, 2024. It looks like MS Teams users still need to be able to suffer – the old MS Teams client is being phased out and the new MS Teams client is buggy to the point of no return. Or does anyone know a solution?
