[German]Not all Windows security updates were ready for the patch day in April 2025 (April 8, 2025). For example, the update for Windows 10 (RTM version, version 1507) was completely missing. Microsoft has now delivered this update and also published its own support article.
Windows April 2025 Updates
Microsoft has released a whole slew of security updates for April 8, 2025. I listed the available updates in the articles Patchday: Windows 10/11 Updates (April 8, 2025) and Patchday: Windows Server-Updates (April 8, 2025).
For Windows 10 1507 (RTM version), no update for the LTSC variant was available yet, although there are vulnerabilities. I mentioned the vulnerabilities in the blog post Microsoft Security Update Summary (April 8, 2025).
German blog reader Bolko wrote in this comment (April 9, 2025) that the vulnerabilities CVE-2025-29824, CVE-2025-26670, CVE-2025-27491, CVE-2025-26663, CVE-2025-26661 and CVE-2025-26686 noch nicht gefixt seien. Von Microsoft hieß es, einige Sicherheitsupdates für Windo have not yet been fixed for Windows 10. Microsoft said that some security updates for Windows 10 for x64-based systems and Windows 10 for 32-bit systems are not immediately available. The updates will be released as soon as possible. As soon as they are available, customers will be informed about a revision of this CVE information.
Microsoft provides updates
On April 9, 2025, Microsoft published the entry (Updated) The April 2025 Windows security update is now available in the Message Center of the Windows Release Health Dashboard. It states that this message has been updated to reflect the current availability of Windows 10 2015 LTSB.
For Windows 10 version 1507, the update KB5055547 (since April 9, 2025) is now available for the RTM version (LTSC). The update addresses security issues.
Microsoft writes that the April 2025 security updates are now available for all supported versions of Windows. Microsoft recommends that users install these updates immediately. Further information on the content of this update can be found in the support articles for the individual updates.
