Cloud Code Coding Agent Deletes Company Database and Backups

BugThat didn't quite go as planned: A Cloud Code Coding agent (Cursor) caused a database to be deleted by a company's infrastructure provider. At the same time, the backups were also deleted by the infrastructure provider because they had linked the backups to the database.

This happened in a staging environment, where Cursor went "rogue," fished the necessary tokens out of some file, and then really got going. The last backup was 3 months ago—it's questionable whether the provider will survive as a SaaS company. In any case, some customers are now unable to work. A nice example that shows just how shaky a vehicle AI can be. Read details within my German blog post [use build-in translation to switch language].
