[German]Microsoft's Chromium Edge browser causes problems with PDF printing in version 102.0.1245.30, which was released on May 31, 2022. Even the bug fix update to Edge 102.0.1245.33 does not change this. However, I have a simple workaround that affected users and administrators can try.

The Edge PDF printing issue
The May 31, 2022 update to Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 closes a number of vulnerabilities, but subsequently causes problems when printing PDF documents. Since I published the German blog post Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 schließt Schwachstellen (and it's English version), blog readers have been coming forward reporting bugs related to PDF printing. Sam writes here:
In the meantime, a number of other German-speaking blog readers, but also English-speaking users have confirmed this issue in my blogs (see, for example, my German post Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 erzeugt Fehler beim PDF-Drucken and the linked English-language article). Also to the German blog post Edge 102.0.1245.33 mit Bug-Fixes got the feedback that the bug was not fixed yet. Strangely, not all users seem to be affected. I haven't had a workaround yet other than a downgrade.
A possible workaround
I haven't looked into the issue further, except in the context of publishing blog posts, but was now alerted to a possible workaround by blog reader L. Harris (thanks for that), who wrote:
We used the following workaround which has worked well for us. Install the PDF Reader extension by Bermet. It uses that reader to open the pdf in the browser. No printing issues so far.
The PDF Reader extension by Bermet is simply a browser add-in for Microsoft Edge, available from this Microsoft page.

So try to download the add-in from the Microsoft site and install it as an extension in Edge. If the user is right, you should be able to open and print PDF documents with it. It's still easier than installing an alternative browser (e.g. Firefox or Chrome).
