Update KB3102812 for Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2

Microsoft has issued also an optional (revised) update KB3102812 for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2015 R2 on 11/4/2015. It fixes some Windows Update problems.

Update fixes Windows 8.1 WinHlp32 problem (KB917607)

In Windows 7, 8, 8.1 older .HLP files are not nupported. Since November 2014 patchday also the solution provided by KB917607 doesn't work anymore. Now Microsoft finally has released a revised KB917607 to fix this problem.

Google reveals third Windows 7/8.1 zero-day vulnerability

Google has revealed this month another unpatched zero-day vulnerability in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. This is the third time, Google refuses Microsoft's call for a more flexible vulnerability disclosure deadline.

Windows 8.1: WinHelp32.exe issue after December Patchday?

Today I'm experiencing a new issue with Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). The old WinHelp32.exe fix doesn't work anymore. Windows8.1-KB917607-x64.msu isn't functional anymore with Windows 8.1 (patch level December 2014).
