Windows 10: Cumulative update KB3140742
It seems also that Microsoft is preparing a cumulative update KB3140742 for Windows 10 Version 1511. Whilst I wasn't offered on my test machine till yet – and also KB3140742 isn't available yet – the update is listed in Windows Update cataloge (requires IE 11 under Windows 10).
The update changes Build number to 10586.112.
January update MS16-004 breaks MSComCTL.ocx
A reader of my German blog has informed me about an issue caused by January update MS16-004. Security update MS16-004 für Office is described as KB3039794 (Office 2013) and KB3096896 (Visual Basic). The security update fixes a vulnerability that allows remote code execution in „Comctl32.ocx‟ and „Mscomctl.ocx‟. It seems, that Microsoft also has changed the version number of the related TypeLibs.
