Struggling company Yahoo has not only been associated with one of the biggest data breach in history. Yahoo seems also to be an "NSA assistant", helping the U.S. intelligence scanning all incoming E-Mails.

According to Hacker News, not only 500 Million user accounts has been hacked (confirmed by Yahoo). It seems that more than a Billion accounts has been hacked. This New York Times report claims, that Yahoo did not reset the passwords of the compromised accounts, after the data breach has been detected. It is claimed, that CEO Marissa Mayer prioritized developing new products over making security improvements.
But there are even more bad news. According to this Reuters article, Yahoo build a secret software program to search all incoming e-mails of it's customers for specific information provided by U.S. intelligence officials (FBI and NSA).
