This is a maintenance update of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1, version number 10.3.0.6294.
Why this update?
Because of the recently discovered vulnerabilities Meltdown and Spectre, Microsoft is rolling out security updates for Windows. However, these updates contains kernel changes that affect the virus scanner and lead to boot problems and BlueScreens without updates AV products.
Microsoft therefore blocks the rollout of updates for Windows if the installed virus scanner has not been updated. The update to V10.3.0.6294 is intended to prepare Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for the following Windows versions.
