Surface Pro 3 Firmware Update (Nov. 7, 2018)

Short information for owners of a Surface Pro 3. Microsoft has released a firmware update on November 7, 2018 to fix security and a bug in the Device Manager.

The updates apply only to Surface Pro 3 devices that have Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) or later installed. The Changelog from the Update History page lists the following updates:

  • Surface – System – 2.0.1360.0: Improves system stability and resolve Device Manager error state.
  • Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Bluetooth – 15.68.9125.57: Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter – Bluetooth; improves system security.
  • Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.9125.57: Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller – Network adapters; improves system security.

The firmware is distributed via Windows Update, but can also be downloaded from the Surface Pro 3 Driver and Firmware page. (via)
