[German]There is a new indication that Microsoft plans the general availability of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) for the end of May 2020. The release could take place between 26th and 28th May 2020.

First speculations: Release end of May 2020
In early May 2020, Mary Foley had published an article on ZDNet predicting a release of Windows 10 version 2004 by the end of May 2020. Foley cited May 28, 2020 as the release date, citing her sources. I had reported on this in the blog post Will Windows 10 V2004 be general available on May 28, 2020?
The development of this build is finished yes, and I had reported in the post Windows 10 V2004 is ready, rollout for Insider that Microsoft is preparing this branch for the general rollout. Distribution to Insider started in April 2020. Now there are only cumulative updates for bug fixing for Windows Insider. Currently, build 19041.208 is supposed to be the 'final', as Microsoft announced the days (see Windows 10 V2004 (Build 19041.208 in Insider Slow Ring)).
Originally the general release would have been due on 12th May 2020. This is the second Tuesday of the month, Patchday at Microsoft – a way to make the feature update more widely available. However, due to coronavirus limitations, Microsoft has postponed the release of the next feature update until the end of May 2020, Foley said.
New hints on release end of May 2020
In my blog post Windows 10: Microsoft allows feature and driver update blocks I reported that OEM partners have the ability to block the distribution of functional updates if incompatibilities with drivers are known. Furthermore Microsoft has announced blocking times for the distribution of drivers from the manufacturers around patchday or an OS rollout as feature update. This is to avoid collisions of driver updates with Windows updates or feature updates.

Now Bleeping Computer has noticed a new Driver Shiproom Schedule for 2020 regarding the release of Windows 10 version 2004. The dates between 26 and 28 May 2020 are blocked for driver rollout. Therefore, it is expected that a feature update will be released on those days.
