[German]Question for administrators who distribute their updates for the Edge browser via the WSUS: Are there any inconsistencies at the moment (August 8, 2024). A user has left a comment at this time that points to a somewhat chaotic situation with the Edge updates. Here is a brief overview of what information I have.

The Microsoft Edge browser can be distributed to clients via Windows Server Update Service (WSUS). However, it would not be a bad idea if the correct updates also arrived there during synchronization on the WSUS. In a comment Bernie pointed out a problem that he is experiencing. It seems that Microsoft has carried out a "downgrade attack" on the Edge browser via the WSUS. He writes about this:
So I was amazed this morning when the Microsoft Edge stable channel version 126 update for x64 editions (build 126.0.2592.132) arrived there or was synchronized last night via our WSUS.
What is not nice is that this update replaces the newer version Microsoft Edge stable channel version 126 update for x64 editions (build 127.0.2651.86).
Bernie writes: "So if I have automated scripts running that reject replaced updates on the WSUS, that's not ideal to say the least." However, Bernie wrote that with the release of Edge version 127.0.2651.98 (8 vulnerabilities have been fixed) everything is back to normal.
