[German]It has just been announced that Virtualbox 7.1.12 and 7.2.2 contain the CVE-2025-62641 vulnerability. This could allow attackers to take over the host. There are also other vulnerabilities in these versions. Virtualbox 7.1.14 and 7.2.4 provide a remedy.
[German]A critical vulnerability, CVE-2025-54236, has been found in Adobe Commerce software (formerly Magento). Adobe Commerce allows unauthenticated attackers to upload files and, ultimately, even take over accounts. The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.1 (on a scale of 1 to 10) and is classified as critical.
[German]I'm bringing up another topic that actually shows that it prohibits the use of Microsoft OneDrive for storing personal content. That's because Microsoft is testing AI-powered facial recognition using family photos stored on OneDrive.
[German]A German user pointed out a major umlaut bug in OneDrive that is causing problems for Azure users. Clients running Windows 11 25H2 cannot access OneDrive if the Azure username in the profile contains an umlaut.

[German]There are out-of-band updates (e.g., KB5070883 for Windows Server 2019) that Microsoft released on October 23, 2025. The purpose of these emergency updates is to close a critical vulnerability in WSUS. The remote execution vulnerability CVE-2025-59287 has been rated with a CVSS score of 9.8. OOB updates have been released for all server editions still available. Administrators should take action.
[German]The security updates for Windows released on October 14, 2025 cause the preview of files (e.g., PDF documents or Office documents) in Explorer to be blocked in some cases. I described the problem in Part 1. On October 22, 2025, Microsoft published an FAQ on this topic—this is by design and for security reasons.

Authentication errors occur in these operating systems when SIDs are identical on multiple computers and certain updates from August or September 2025 are installed. This is a problem that can arise when cloning installation images.
[German]Microsoft announced the end of support for its Office Online Server in a TechCommunity post titled "Announcing the retirement for Office Online Server" on October 21, 2025. After this date, Office Online Server will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support from Microsoft.
