[German]It looks to me as if a software update (OTA update) has been "bricking" Samsung Galaxy A51 series devices since the beginning of November 2023. The devices remain stuck in Odin mode with the message "AVB Fail" during or after the software update. Since two blog readers have already reported being affected, I'll summarize some information in one post.
Android 14 users of Google Pixel devices have had an unpleasant experience, if they used multiple profiles. One user profile can then no longer be accessed. Google plans to deliver a fix for this bug within 2 weeks (i.e. by mid-November 2023). [German]At the beginning of October 2023, Microsoft released its new Teams 2.0 client for macOS and Windows in general – after a beta phase that started in spring 2023. There is still a little time to upgrade missing functions and eliminate bugs. But Microsoft already announced at the beginning of November 2023 that the Teams 2.0 client will be mandatory from April 1, 2024 (no April Fool's joke). Currently some users (German, French etc.) are suffering from translation bugs.
[German]The popular online marketplace for Lego® bricks, Bricklink, is suspected to have been the victim of a cyber attack. The marketplace has currently been taken offline and states "Maintenance in progress" on its homepage. Individual accounts are probably posting messages from the hackers. There is a clear warning on the marketplace page that "Stormtrooper" is not a maintenance guy.
[German]Brief addendum: Microsoft released PowerToys version 0.75 with a new dashboard at the end of October. Hours later, however, the bug fix update to version 0.75.1 had to be pushed out. So the tools for "improving" certain Windows functions continue. Here is an overview of the current status.

Note for people who want to test the latest versions of Windows 11 23H2 without obligation but do not want to install an installation image. Microsoft has released so-called 90-day test versions of Windows 11 (version 2310) for developers as virtual machines on October 30, 2023. These are based on Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise (patch level Sept. 2023, build 22621.2283) and are available for VMware, Hyper-V (Gen2), Virtualbox and Parallels on the Microsoft page Get a Windows 11 development environment. [German]Let's euphemistically call it "a communication mishap that can happen". Microsoft has released Windows 11 23H2 on October 31, 2023 and also offers a Media Creation Tool (MCT) for this version. I had jokingly orated about the release date as a "Halloween update" (to scare you). At least with regard to the MCT, the oracle is true, because Microsoft has now admitted that it does not create an installation image for Windows 11 2023 Update (23H2).
[English]Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) has just published four unpatched vulnerabilities (so-called 0-Days) in Microsoft Exchange. These were reported to Microsoft in September 2023 and ZDI classifies them with CVSS scores of 7.1 to 7.5. Microsoft's security experts do not consider the vulnerabilities to be so serious that they require immediate action (authentication is required for exploitation). The Microsoft developers have announced fixes "for later". This is why the Zero Day Initiative has gone public, as they still see the possibility of RCE attacks and data theft.
[German]With the preview update KB5031445 for Windows 10 22H2, Microsoft has installed a new "Remote Desktop Connection" entry in "Programs and Features". This feature will then be rolled out globally on Patchday in November 2023. This change has led to controversial discussions in my German blog – it will not be met with enthusiasm by all users – especially if they are using Windows 10 Home Edition.
