Keine Ahnung, ob viele Leser den Spamfilter von mxguarddog.com verwenden. Der Dienst wirbt mit "World-class email protection for companies, organizations and domain name owners." Ein Leser informierte mich heute Abend (13.8.2026) per Mail, dass es Probleme mit dem betreffenden Dienst gebe. Der betreffende Dienst sei seit dem heutigen Nachmittag, ca. 15:00 Uhr, nicht mehr online. Hintergrund ist ein Rechenzentrumsausfall, wie mir der Leser mitteilte.
Der Leser schrieb: "Der 'Spamfilter' von mxguarddog.com ist seit heute ca 15:00 Uhr nicht mehr online. Nach drei Stunden der Stille ist nun rausgekommen, dass im Rechenzentrum die Kühlung ausgefallen ist und damit dort nichts mehr läuft." Auf Facebook findet sich nachfolgender Post dazu.
Der Betreiber schreibt, dass es aufgrund eines Problems im Rechenzentrum in Phoenix (USA) zu einem großflächigen Ausfall kommt. Es heißt: "Anscheinend ist die Kühlung im Rechenzentrum ausgefallen, was zu zahlreichen Problemen geführt hat." Auf der Statusseite des Diensts heißt es:
MXGuarddog Large Scale Outage
Our primary data center, located in Phoenix, AZ, has suffered a total failure of its cooling systems.
The facility is 200,000 square feet, and it is hot—really hot.
We started to receive warnings from our monitoring systems that temperatures in the data center were critical.
Within minutes, we lost all connectivity to the facility.
We do not own this data center; we colocate our equipment in the facility.
The data center has not provided any ETA for when they will be back online. They have only advised that their technicians are working to restore the cooling systems.
As a result, we do not know when we will be able to bring our systems back online.
At this time, we strongly recommend that any MX Guarddog customers who can do so update their MX records to point directly to their own mail servers in order to bypass this widespread outage.
We will provide additional information as soon as we receive it.
Update 12pm (Noon) Pacific Time
Our datacenter provider has provided an update on the situation:
Dear Customers,As we noted in our communication at approximately 7:30 am local time, PHX-01 is experiencing elevated white space temperatures caused by multiple utility bump events attributable to overnight storms in the area. RadiusDC has on-site vendors working rapidly to resolve the situation and restore adequate cooling. RadiusDC technicians have activated mitigation efforts to reduce rising space temperatures. Thus far we have restored Chiller D into operation as of 7:45 am local time. Additional Radius DC remediation measures include the following action items (anticipated commencement local time; anticipated completion local time):
Chiller C restoration (targeted 12:30 pm) Temporary on floor cooling and heat removal equipment added (approximately 10:00 am) Additional temporary chiller and temporary backup generator added (targeted approximately 4:00 pm)
Following the restoration of Chiller D, we have seen significant temperature reductions and expect that reduction to continue over the next 60 minutes.
