[German]In Windows 11, some users experienced problems with the Start menu, where the Start button stopped responding. The problem is related to the update KB5014668 from June 23, 2022, but can also occur through subsequent updates. In the meantime, Microsoft has confirmed the problem and is rolling back the corresponding fixes via Known Issues Rollback (KIR). However, administrators in affected enterprise environments will have to help out with group policies.

Startmenu issues confirmed
Microsoft has confirmed issues with the Start button in the Windows 11 21H2 Status Health Dashboard and published the Beitrag Start menu might not open post to July 22, 2022. After installing the preview update KB5014668 from June 23, 2022 or newer updates prepared Windows 11 users of problems. Affected can no longer open the Start menu. On affected devices running Windows 11 version 21H1, clicking or selecting the Start button or pressing the Windows key on the keyboard has no effect.
Fix via KIR
Microsoft has decided to fix the issue via Known Issue Rollback (KIR). On unmanaged end-user systems, this rollback happens automatically, but it can take up to 24 hours. Since the whole thing was triggered on July 22, 2022, the process should be complete. Restarting Windows can speed up the rollback a bit if necessary.
For managed systems in enterprise environments where updates have caused the issues, administrator intervention is required. The following special group policy from Microsoft must be downloaded, installed and configured.
