MS February patchday issues
February 2 2015 Microsoft has published several updates for Windows and other software. Unfortunately some of these patches causes damages in Windows. Here is a short overview, what I know so far.
Warning: Do not install MS update KB 3001652
[German]Today (February 2 2015) is Microsoft Patchday – and Update KB3001652 Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is causing serious issues under Windows 8.1. It does not install and several users reporting a system lockup.
January firmware updates for Microsoft’s Surface Pro family
During January 2015 patchday Microsoft has also provided new firmware updates for Microsoft Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3. The updates addressing bugs and connectivity issues with SP3.
Windows 8.1: WinHelp32.exe issue after December Patchday?
Today I'm experiencing a new issue with Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). The old WinHelp32.exe fix doesn't work anymore. Windows8.1-KB917607-x64.msu isn't functional anymore with Windows 8.1 (patch level December 2014).

KB 3025390: Fix for screwed up Internet Explorer 11
I haven't noticed it, but last December patchday has also screwed up Internet Explorer. A few hours ago, Microsoft released another fix KB 3025390, to repair screwups in Internet Explorer 11.
