Stop - Pixabay[German]A nasty surprise for some clinics and their IT departments. Maintenance technicians from the US provider Oracle unintentionally deleted critical resources during support. As a result, the IT "lights went out" at 45 clinics that were Oracle customers. Oracle Health was no longer running. The clinics had to fiddle with paper and pencil for days. Go to the cloud, they said in IT, you're not responsible there.

Windows Server 2025: Hotpatching need a subscription from July 1, 2025

OneDrive crashes? OneDrive issues? Windows Server 2019 reboots?

[German]I'm going to combine some  problem reports in the Windows Server environment into one collective post. A blog reader informed me yesterday that Microsoft OneDrive was crashing under Windows Server 2016. And I got a report about OneDrive issues during the weekend. I also saw a report on the patchmanagement.org mailing list about a boot loop on Windows Server 2019 in connection with the April 2025 security updates. The question is whether there are more people affected.

Windows 10/11: Printer bug with random character output fixed (March/April 2025)

Windows[German]Users of Windows 10 and Windows 11 may have had a problem with the January 2025 preview update installed and thereafter. Some USB printers may then "possibly" print random text. The problem was corrected promptly by the KIR function. However, this bug was finally fixed with the April 2025 security updates.
