Today I'm experiencing a new issue with Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). The old WinHelp32.exe fix doesn't work anymore. Windows8.1-KB917607-x64.msu isn't functional anymore with Windows 8.1 (patch level December 2014).
I haven't noticed it, but last December patchday has also screwed up Internet Explorer. A few hours ago, Microsoft released another fix KB 3025390, to repair screwups in Internet Explorer 11.
[German edition]Microsoft has released Update KB3024777 for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, which fix an issue with KB 3004394. Here a few further details about this Update, that has been an object for further speculations within several sites.
Microsoft has released some Security Updates on December Patch day (2014/12/09), also some critical patches (see Security Bulletin MS14-082) for Microsoft Office. It seems that security update KB2553154 for Microsoft Office 2010 causes serious issues. Some users are reporting, that ActiveX controls and macros fails in Excel 2013. Currently, a couple of users are facing issues with Microsoft December 2014 patch day. Windows throw an error 800706F7 and refuse to update. The issue has been observed in Windows 7 clients and on Windows Server 2008 R2 as well (and probably on Exchange). A few hints, what to do.
