MS February patchday issues

February 2 2015 Microsoft has published several updates for Windows and other software. Unfortunately some of these patches causes damages in Windows. Here is a short overview, what I know so far.

Warning: Do not install MS update KB 3001652

[German]Today (February 2 2015) is Microsoft Patchday – and Update KB3001652 Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is causing serious issues under Windows 8.1. It does not install and several users reporting a system lockup.

Update KB3004394 breaks Root Certificate in Windows 7/ Windows Server 2008 R2

[German]Microsoft has released yesterday several Windows updates. One of them, Update KB3004394 seems to damage the Root Certificate Store on some Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 machines.
