[German]Microsoft has now given a date for the Edge Browser to be supported on Windows 7 SP1. In addition, testers get the update error 0x80040154 in the canary builds.

Firefox 75: Telemetry reports the default browser to Mozilla
[German]The just released Firefox 75 comes in the Windows version with a nasty surprise. A telemetry function transmits daily the used operating system as well as the standard browser to Mozilla.
Chrome 81 released
[German]Google's developers have released the Chrome 81 on 7 March 2020. The browser update closes 32 security holes in total and comes with the Web NFC API.
Firefox 75 and 68.7.0esr released
[German]Mozilla's developers have released the version 75.0.0 and the version and 68.7.0esr of the Firefox browser on April 7, 2020. These are new major updates for the browser. Addition: Information from the release notes added.
Google rolls back (temporarily) SameSite Cookie Changes
Due to the COVID-19 pandemy Google announced, that they are rolling back (temporarily) the SameSite Cookie changes, that has been introduced in Chrome 80 in February. Furhter details may be read within this Google blog post.

Firefox 74 reactivates TLS 1.0/1.1 because of Corona
[German]In Firefox 74, the Mozilla developers had disabled the TLS 1.0/1.1 protocols (see Firefox 74.0 and 68.6.0esr released). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, TLS 1.0/1.1 was reactivated to allow retrieval of relevant information about Covid-19 on official government sites again.
