Windows: Optional updates and re-releases 02/16/2016
Microsoft has released several optional updates for Windows and re-released some updates for Office for Mac on February 16, 2016. Also a cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1511 seems to be released soon. Here are a few details.
Problem bear: Windows update KB3102429 re-released
Microsoft has released update KB3102429 for Windows 7/8.1 on January 19, 2016. It's an optional update for currency symbols – but we have seen this "problem bear" last November.
Regedit-Bug in Windows 10 Version 1511
Just another bad news: Windows 10 Version 1511 (Build 10586) comes with a nasty bug, that prevents searching in registry with regedit.exe.
Windows 7 SP1/8.1: Update KB3035583 for Windows 10
Just a short note: Microsoft has released Update KB3035583 for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1. The purpose: Prepare W7/8.1 systems for Windows 10 upgrade.
Windows 10 Upgrade: Legal action against Microsoft Germany
A German Consumer Association (Verbraucherzentrale) has filed a legal action against Microsoft Germany to stop automatic download of Windows 10 Upgrade files.
