Windows[German]The August 12, 2025 security updates for Windows have resulted in users of various products suddenly seeing a user account control prompt for administrator rights. Microsoft has now confirmed that the August 2025 updates are causing this problem in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Windows Server is also affected.

Windows 11 24H2: No SSD problems caused by KB5063878 after all

Windows[German]After the August 2025 patch day, there were reports that the cumulative security update KB5063878 released on August 12, 2025, for Windows 11 24H2 was causing serious SSD problems. Microsoft conducted extensive testing in collaboration with Phison and has given the all-clear. No impact from the KB5063878 update could be detected.

Windows 11 24H2: KB5064081 fixes error in CertificateServicesClient event

Windows[German]Preview update KB5062660 for Windows 11 24H2 released at the end of July 2025 contained a bug that flooded event management with CertificateServicesClient entries (ID 57). This bug has been "addressed" with the preview update KB5064081 released on August 29, 2025.
