[German]There have been massive problems with Microsoft 365/Exchange Online since March 2025. And some readers and users are complaining that access to mailboxes via the Samsung Mail app is not working. A blog reader sent me a "spooky" solution to this problem (install the Microsoft Authenticator app and disable battery optimization helps).
[German]Users of Windows 11 24H2 have been struggling with RDP problems for months. Connections break off or cannot be established. Microsoft has now confirmed these problems, which I addressed in a blog post. The preview update from January 2025 is said to be responsible for the problems, and the preview update from March 2025 brings a fix.
[GER1, GER2]Since the end of 2024, users of Microsoft Excel 2016 have been running into a strange issue. Excel files that have been password protected cannot be opened multiple times. It seems to be a problem caused by Windows 11 24H2. I now have solutions from readers to fix the problem, in the hope that Microsoft will come up with a fix at some point.
Microsoft has released the optional cumulative (preview) update KB5053656 for Windows 11 24H2 on March 27, 2025. I have added some information about this update in the blog post Windows 10/11: Preview Updates March 25/27, 2025.

[German]A small addendum from this week. A few days ago, I came across the news on X that the US company Oracle had been hacked. Oracle as a company denies a hack. But companies listed in the Oracle data captured by the hacker confirm that data used by them was found there. The hack, it is true, could affect many Oracle customers. Here's a rundown of what's known so far.
[German]A short note or addendum for users of Windows 11 24H2 who rely on Veeam Backup & Recovery. Rudi has already pointed out to me on March 22, 2025 that the restore functionality of Veeam backups via Veeam Recovery in Windows 11 no longer works. Windows updates from February 2025 seem to be to blame. Veeam has confirmed this and is working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.
[German]Microsoft has released optional cumulative (preview) updates for Windows 10 22H2 (KB5053643) and Windows 11 22H2-23H2 (KB5053657) on March 25, 2025. Addendum: The preview update KB5053656 for Windows 11 24H2 has been released on March 27, 2025. These updates contain corrections that can be tested and will then be generally rolled out as fixes in the following month. It should be noted that preview updates must be manually initiated for download and installation by default (although Windows 11 22H2 and later contains options for automatic installation).

[German]Brief information for users and administrators of VMware by Broadcom vCenter installations. It looks like Broadcom is going to throw the next chicane into the ring for VMware vCenter customers. From April 23, 2025, vCenter administrators will probably only be able to pull and distribute updates with update tokens.
[German]One of my followers on Mastodon recently pointed out to me that emails with attachments sent via outlook.live.com are "unintentionally" saving these attachments in OneDrive. Has anyone else noticed this? I then did some research and found that there was an announcement on March 5, 2025 that Microsoft 365 will use OneDrive to store folders from March 2025. This runs under the term OneDrive Known Folder Move (KFM). I'll include this information in the article.
