heidoc.net and ‘Windows und Office ISO Download Tool’ – an update
[German]Yesterday I reported, that the site heidoc.net and the 'Windows und Office ISO Download Tool' is no longer available (see my blog post Microsoft ends Techbench program; axes Windows ISO Download Tool & heidoc.net is dead?). But that was a false alarm – the site and the tool is back to life. In this blog post I will uncover a few details what has happens.

[German]Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool has been a nice thing to download ISO install images for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and also for Microsoft Office 2007/2010. It seems that a shutdown of Microsoft servers has axed also the Windows and Office ISO Download Tool. But I found a solution to download ISO install images again from Microsoft's servers. Update: It seems that heidoc.net is online again – and also the Download Tool is back to life (details below).Don't know, what's the reason for this "one day long malfunction" was (maybe a hacked site).
Fix: Windows 10 Anniversary Update KB3189866 hangs
Microsoft has released Microsoft Update KB3189866 for Windows 10 Anniversary Update at September 13, 2016. This cumulative Update shall fix several security issues and shall improve Windows 10 (see Update KB3189866 shifts Windows 10 to Build 14393.187). But it seems that this update is causing download hangs on many systems.
