The announcement came to my attention that night on Twitter via the following post from Clint Rutkas.
We just released #powerToys 0.20.1 which fixed a few critical bugs. One bug caused a cascade of other bugs to be found. This also has a fix for the installer. https://t.co/VfK1bbhgVg

At the beginning of August 2020 the PowerToys version 0.20 was rolled out (see PowerToys 0.20 with Color Picker released (Change log)). With the maintenance update the developers want to fix some critical bugs of version 0.20. The fixes relate to the installation program, PowerToys Run, FancyZones and ColorPicker.
FancyZones had a bug that then crashed our hosting application (we call it Runner), which then caused us to find some bugs in PowerToys Run that occur when Runner crashes. Here is the short list:
- #5400 – PT Run doesn't dispose properly and disposed object trying to be accessed
- #5555 – ColorPicker trying to always reload a bad settings file
- #5540 – FancyZones tries to drag an elevated window
- #5484 – Installer gets stuck installing .NET Core
The change log and the download can be found on this github page.
