Microsoft has released a security update für Chromium Edge browser (see ADV200002). Released on April 17, 2020, Edge 81.0.416.58 addresses vulnerability CVE-2020-6457. The new Chromium Edge may be downloaded from this website.
Chrome 81.0.4044.113 with security fixes
[German]Another small addendum – already on April 14, 2020 Google released the update to Chrome 81.0.4044.113. This is a security update.
Microsoft Edge 81.0.416.53 released
[German]An anonymous blog reader left this comment, pointing out, that Microsoft has releaded Chromium Edge 81 in stable channel. I updated the browser in Windows 7 and got version 81.0.416.53.
Microsoft-Edge: Windows 7 Support, Update Error 0x80040154
[German]Microsoft has now given a date for the Edge Browser to be supported on Windows 7 SP1. In addition, testers get the update error 0x80040154 in the canary builds.

Chrome 81 released
[German]Google's developers have released the Chrome 81 on 7 March 2020. The browser update closes 32 security holes in total and comes with the Web NFC API.
Firefox 75 and 68.7.0esr released

Google rolls back (temporarily) SameSite Cookie Changes
