Since a few days users are facing issues with Outlook search in connection with an Exchange mailbox at Office365.com. This is a known issue for which Microsoft wants to roll out a fix.

SharePoint Online issue SP175201 (March 4, 2019)
Currently (March 4, 2019, 23:00) there seems to be issues with SharePoint Online from Microsoft. Users have problems accessing data such as lists or libraries of their accounts.
Microsoft reports DNS issues as solved (Feb. 11, 2019)
[German]Microsoft believes that the DNS issues that caused failures at various services, including Windows Update, in January/February 2019 have now been finally fixed. Meanwhile all Microsoft services should be usable again.
Office365 outage: a status update (01/26/2019)
[German]Microsoft's Office365 business customers are facing an outage of Microsoft's Office365.com service since January 24, 2019. Exchange Online is partially not reachable, so email can't be send or received. Today (Saturday, January 26, 2019) a status update about that outage.
