[German]Microsoft has fixed the problems with USB keyboards and USB mice in Win RE with a special update KB5070773 for Windows 11. The problem was affected or fixed in Windows 11 24-H2 – 25H2. The affected USB devices should work again under Win RE. Here is a brief overview of the situation.

Microsoft has now officially confirmed that there may be issues with USB keyboards and USB mice in Win RE. Windows 11 24-H2 – 25H2 and Windows Server 2025 are affected. Here is a brief overview of the situation.
[German]On October 14, 2025, Microsoft Office 2016 and 2019 has expired and Microsoft will no longer provide support for them. This is an opportunity to think about your situation. You could continue to use these versions securely for another five years. You could switch to Microsoft 365 and let Microsoft take care of you. Or you could choose to exit – as some organizations have done.
[German]Windows systems that had the SenseShield driver sprotect.sys installed could not previously run Windows 11 24H2—they experienced blue screens and crashes. The problem has now been solved, and Microsoft has lifted the upgrade blocker for Windows 11 24H2 that was related to SenseShield technology.
[German]Microsoft had been announcing it as a "big event" for days—now it's clear what they meant. All computers running Windows 11 (probably 24H2 / 25H2) are to be upgraded with AI functions to become AI companions that "users can talk to." At least, that's the fever dream from Redmond, although the whole thing is supposed to be optional (for now).
[German]Update KB5066835 from October 14, 2025 (as well as the preview update from September) for Windows 11 24H2-25H2 and Windows Server 2025, comes with a bug. This causes Internet Information Server (IIS) and thus the localhost function to no longer work. This cripples some applications. Microsoft has confirmed the issue and also provided a KIR solution.
